Estes Express Lines Clerk, Warranty in Richmond, Virginia

Job Summary:

  • Process warranty claims daily, ensuring all supporting documentation is present

  • Research and track history of parts failures and/or repairs made to units

  • Identify and process rejects that are out of established warranty guidelines

  • Consistent communication with shop management to ensure highest recovery rates of claims

  • Understand and communicate warranty compliance guidelines/expectations with internal and external customers

  • May cross-train in other departmental duties and responsibilities

  • Maintain an effective working relationship with management, mechanics, vendors and Corporate Fleet Services department

  • Regular attendance is required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Degree (GED), or equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

  • 18+ years of age

  • Must have a valid Driver’s license

  • Minimum of one year clerical experience (including data entry)

  • Prior knowledge or experience working with warranty contracts preferred

  • Must possess very strong data entry skills (minimum of 60 wpm) with attention to quality and detail

  • Good math and 10-key abilities

  • Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word. AS400 experience preferred.

  • Must be self-directed and able to multi-task

  • Must have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and organized

  • Good problem solving skills

  • Must be able to lift approximately 20 lbs., or more if required by the essential functions of the job

  • Must be able to comply with all company policies, rules, procedures and Code of Conduct

  • Must be able to interact well with others

  • Must be able to work independently, or in a team setting

  • Must be capable of working under tight time constraints in a high volume environment with multiple priorities

  • Responds well to questions; Ability to read, interpret and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations / procedure manuals and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to include the ability to meet deadlines

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
